The Best Golf Courses in Park City, Utah

With mountain views, plenty of natural waterways, and great weather, Park City has lots of unique options for golfers. If you’re ready to hit the fairways, you can choose from some great golf destinations in the region:

  • Park City Golf Club. This municipal 18-hole golf course takes reservations up to seven days in advance and offers a pro shop, lessons, and leagues. Open to golfers of all levels, it was created by landscape architect William Neff, who designed a stunning site with lakes, streams, and treed areas. This is one of the most accessible and welcoming golf courses in Park City, Utah, with classes and leagues for children, women, couples, seniors, and more.

  •  Park Meadows Country Club. This Jack Nicklaus signature golf course was created in 1983 and features the only social and golf club in Park City. Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, and Tom Watson have all played this course, which features 105 sand bunkers, waterways, wooden bridges, and mountain views. Park Meadows has been the site of 10 PGA Senior Tour® events and was ranked by Sports Illustrated as a "Top 10" Senior Tour Event destination and by Golf Digest as one of the top courses in Utah. With practice facilities and a walkable course, Park Meadows saw an upgrade and significant renovation in 2009, making this Scottish-style golf course one well worth checking out.

  • Canyons Golf Course. Located in the Canyons Ski Resort, this is one of the newer golf courses in Park City, with 550 feet of elevation for a good challenge. You can stay at the resort and golf, taking advantage of special packages, or just book up to 30 days in advance to tee off. Either way, you’ll enjoy a golf course designed for every skill level and with incredible views of the Wasatch and Uinta mountains.

  • Outlaw Golf Club at Hideout. A public nine-hole executive golf course with bent grass greens, bluegrass teeing areas, three Par 4 holes of 250 to 465 yards, and six Par 3 holes of 65 to 235 yards, this is a great spot for a challenge or casual play. Enjoy stunning views of Deer Valley, the Jordanelle reservoir, and Mount Timpanogos as you play. Outlaw sees fewer crowds than nearby golf courses, making it ideal for a relaxed game.

  • Soldier Hollow Golf Course. In Midway, Soldier Hollow is a 36-hole golf course. It was the site of the 2002 Winter Olympics. Designed by Gene Bates, the Silver 18-hold golf course has wider and shorter fairways while the Gold is a championship course with challenging greens and narrower fairways. With a championship course, an Olympics heritage, and more fairway bunkers than most, Soldier Hollow is one of the best golf courses in the Park City, Utah area for serious golfers.

  • Wasatch Mountain Golf Course. The Wasatch Mountain and nearby Lake golf courses, both in Wasatch Mountain State Park, are considered the most picturesque and popular in the state. In the fall, you can watch the autumn-trimmed leaves from the fairways and in the summer the elevation of 6,000 feet keeps you cool.

  • Jeremy Golf & Country Club. Designed by Arnold Palmer, Jeremy Golf & Country Club is a highly-regarded championship golf course with treed and challenging fairways, elevated tee boxes, elevation changes, and water hazards naturally created by East Canyon Creek. Golfers of different skill levels love the medium to large greens and the natural beauty of the mountain view.

  • Mountain Dell. Mountain Dell is a public 36-hole golf course 16 miles from Salt Lake City. Ravines and waterways create stunning backdrops to tee time and have allowed for rolling, narrow fairways to provide plenty of challenge. A premier golf course, Mountain Dell is made even more thrilling by the wildlife which can be found on the greens. Golfers report deer, foxes, moose, and other animal sightings.

  • Homestead Golf Club. Looking for something different? Try the Homestead Golf Club. This golf course is in a historic resort that is also home to the geothermal spring known as Homestead Crater. Contained in limestone, this spring is a natural wonder and is available for snorkeling or soaking in after a game. You just don’t have that feature at many golf courses. The Homestead Golf Club is a par 71 course designed by Bruce Summerhays and features recent upgrades, including GPS-equipped carts, new ponds, four sets of tee boxes per hole, and crater water-fed water features. Lessons and rentals are available on site.

For golfers at all skill levels, living near Park City has its perks. Residents can easily drive to a new golf course every day of the week and never exhaust their options for new challenges.
